The Evil Cub is a man of great complexity, who is known to occasionally answer to the name of Chris. He is a grossly over educated, lazy and shiftless being who believes that the pursuit of money is a hollow goal without an equal commitment to the puruit of happiness.
At various times, he has worked as a security guard, a customer service representative, a retail salesman, and a video game producer. He is currently working as a security guard again, for reasons that essentially amount to a desire not to go insane or die of a heart attack at the age of forty. Plus, it gives him lots of time to read and write.
The Evil Cub attended the University of Minnesota, were he earned a B.A. in history. He loves history, especially ancient history, and most particularily Roman history (and to be even more specific, he loves Roman Military history, and will bore you at great length about the subject if you aren't careful). He is also interested in geology, astrophysics, biology, ecology, psycology, and philosophy. Oh, and Latin. He has spent a lot of time reading Latin.
In order to pay for the above schooling, The Evil Cub spent several years serving in various capacities in the National Guard and Army Reserves. In that time, he learned several interesting ways to destroy people and property, and ways of creating what the U.S. Goverment euphamistically calls 'product', but which most right thinking adults would call propoganda. And unlike some people, The Evil Cub has pay records and personal ancedotes that can prove he really was where he was supposed to be at the times he was supposed to be there.
Outside of such academic pursuits, he is a great fan of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and the areas best described as Speculative Fiction. He reads a great many novels in these genres, and spends an inordinate amount of time writing his own stories and novels. Someday, he may actually finish a novel, or publish something. When he isn't reading, he enjoys watching movies and listening to an ecclectic blend of music that favors such divergant artists as the Indigo Girls, They Might Be Giants, Vivaldi, and Marilyn Manson.
In the tiny amount of time he has to spare from these activities, he plays far too many video games on both the computer and his trusty Playstation 2. Do not ask him about computer hunting games. H knows more about them than he wants to. And when he can be pried off the computer, he enjoys the company of his partner for the last 13 years. Since the very foundation of civilization apparently depends on protecting people from two men being allowed to share a legal commitment, he refrains from describing this union as 'marriage'.
